Refrigerated Fishing Cooler

Required: GP01 - Outdoor Retreat

This is a new mod that may need to be updated with new game patches. To keep the file sizes small, these may rely on another object for it’s textures. See details below.

Object Features:

  • Portable; can store in Sim's inventory
  • Drag and drop functionality
  • Functions like a fridge to keep fish fresh
  • Custom drink recipes
  • Buff chances from drinks that help with fishing skill

Files:

Can be found in Outdoor Activities.

  • GP01 – Fishing Cooler
This cooler is portable like EA’s, but mine functions like a fridge as well so you can store your fish and be gone for the weekend without having to worry about them spoiling.

You can store regular food in here as well, but you will need to drag and drop it into your Sim’s inventory before you can eat it until I work out a fix.

This also comes with 4 different drinks that have a chance to give your Sim special buffs to help with fishing. Unfortunately, you can also get an uncomfortable buff because grabbing a drink that just spent hours next to your freshly caught fish is bound to make your hands smell bad lol.

This uses the Fridge inventory type so I suggest downloading the Inventory Not Shared Mod so this object has it’s own inventory.

The following recipes are included and are part of the ‘Grab a Drink’ menu.

  • Bottled Water
  • Pond Pop
  • Bass Brew
  • Catfish Cooler
Each will give you a chance for different custom buffs as well as the ‘Refreshing Drink’ buff you’d normally get from a cooler drink. They will all lower your Sims body temperature on a hot day and they all have a smaller effect on the bladder than normal cooler drinks.

This object shares an inventory with all other fridges your Sim owns. If you download the Fridge version of the mod below, this object will have it’s own inventory instead.

I may need to make some tuning updates to this file in the future.

I recommend creating a separate folder for my [MODS] files so when you’re notified of an update you can find and update them easily.
